Following are some frequently asked questions about Hahn Consulting consulting services.

Q. Don't consultants just tell you what you want to hear? Just what do you do anyway?

A. Well, maybe some consultants do just play back what your own people tell them. We believe that we owe you the truth. If your new program is unlikely to succeed, we will tell you, politely, but clearly. Our business is to provide you with experienced advice to help you avoid mistakes and to achieve success most efficiently. Sometimes clients outsource whole projects to us that they don't have the staff or time to accomplish. We occasionally develop brochures or data sheets, for example, including the writing, graphic design and even the printing.

Q. Consulting sounds so vague. What other kinds of projects do you provide?

A. A lot of planning including strategic planning, marketing plans and sales plans. Lately we've been working on some internal marketing plans to help reposition the service or support organization within the corporation. We commonly work in all areas of marketing: service product development, pricing, positioning. We cover all four P's of marketing.

Q. Consulting sounds expensive. Do you require retainers? How do I know how much it will cost?

A. We do not seek retainers. Occasionally a client may suggest it for reasons of their own. 99% of our projects are fixed-price, with specified schedules and deliverables. This way, we both know what we are going to do, when it will be done, what it will cost and what you will receive. It is easier for everyone this way.
